⚜️About our Patron⚜️

Blessed Carlos Acutis was born on May 3rd 1991 in London, England. His family soon moved to Milan where he lived most of his life. Carlo was very interested in the internet and technology. When he was young, he asked his mother to buy him books on coding and computers. He recieved his first computer as a gift in 2000. He coded a website which had several Eucharist miracles that he catalogued. He went to mass every day and prayed the rosary very frequently. Blessed Carlo Acutis died on October 12, 2006 to Leukemia. He accepted his suffering and said: “I offer all the suffering I will have to suffer for the Lord, for the Pope, and the Church.” Carlo's website still operates today and he was made a venerable in 2018. In October 10th 2020, Pope Francis beatified Carlo and he will be Canonized this April on Divine Mercy Sunday. Blessed Carlo Acutis is a saint for our times since he lived a holy life despite the temptations of this millenium.

🏴Explanation of Banner🏴

So this is our banner. The yellow of the border represents generosity in heraldry. We chose this color because Bl. Carlo was always generous in giving his life for God. The Monstrance in the center represents his love and devotion to the Eucharist. The Blue backgrounds represents Mary and the white represents purity. We chose the blue because Carlo said that "The Virgin Mary is the only woman in my life." We chose the white because he was pure throughout his whole life. Furthermore, the two backgrounds are diagonal to represent a criss-cross pattern to show that Mary and purity are inseperable. The Immaculate Heart also represents his love of Mary. The clock represents his short life and how he said that: “I am happy to die because I have lived my life without wasting a minute on those things which do not please God.” The computer represents how he enjoyed using electronics but was not conquered by them. Instead, he used technology such as the internet for Christ. The road represents how Carlo said that: "The Eucharist is my highway to heaven". The quote at the top of the banner says "God not I" in Italian. It was one of Carlo's phrases that really encapsulates his entire life.

🎵Team Anthem🎵

By: Paul Lannon

Verse 1:
Thou lived in exile here,
As a pilgrim not at rest.
Satan's snares thou did not fear
For thou knew God's plan was best.

Refrain:
Thou will lead us unto God,
If we imitate thy life.
This most holy path we'll trod,
Thou won the important strife.

Verse 2:
Thou aimed for the infinite,
Never happy with this life.
Heaven was definite,
Thou have shown us heaven's light.

Refrain:
Thou will lead us unto God,
If we imitate thy life.
This most holy path we'll trod,
Thou won the important strife.
